Amazon managers sharpen communication skills at PIM

It was a refreshing break from tea to learning for the managers of Amazon Trading, who are a leading exporer of tea with the brand, English Breakfast. The participants from Amazon Trading for a management development program on professional communication conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) commenced their studies

on Saturday, 2 August 2014. PIM acting Director Dr. Ajantha Dharmasiri welcoming the participants, stressed the importance of professional communication. He also spelled out the objectives and the key learning outcomes of the program. Amazon Trading Ltd Chairman/Managing Director Gamini Jayaweera, addressing the gathering said that they have decided to train their managers in the best possible place in order to get the desired results. Amazon Trading Ltd Director/CEO Suranga Herath was also present at the inauguration. Among the modules included in the program, effective business communication, prioritising and filtering of information as well as writing reports and proposals would, for certain, make the participants come to grips with the challenges of modern communication, unlike the more generic modules which teach the basics of Business English.
