  • New online learning platform for busy professionals around Sri Lanka

Asian International Academy (AIA), a new generation institute which focuses on innovation, equality and contemporary study programs, announced the launch of a state-of-the-art online learning platform, All Asia Institute (www.allasiainstitute.com). Through the platform, currently AIA offers the Advance Professional Diploma in Credit Management program by the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management (SLICM), and is set to add more education programs for those who wish to follow any course online. Candidates will be able to create an individual profile enrolling as a student. The platform contains modules for each program and each module has lessons which are available in video format. The video will showcase the lecturer on one side of the screen and the transition of the slides on the other end of the screen. This enables the student to follow the lesson along with the lesson notes which are made available on a PDF format. Speaking about the new platform launch Asian International Academy General Manager Nadeen Kumarasinghe said, “True to our academy ethos innovation and equality, our rationale behind All Asia Institute is to simply enable students who are currently employed in various industries to continue their professional education despite of their busy schedules in the present knowledge economy era. He added, “Our academy provides an equal opportunity for students to learn irrespectively of which part of the country or which part of the world a student is from believing in education accessibility to all. Further it enables students from around the country to benefit from a top end faculty which is usually available to students within the Colombo metropolitan area only. The All Asia Institute has received the interest from several key professional bodies and in the future AAI looks at the possibility to work with these professional bodies in a mutually beneficial manner.” “It is important to understand the needs of students who pursue distance education, in designing an online learning platform. AAI platform attempted to encompass features which can facilitate a similar experience a student receives in classroom study. For instance it has multiple choice questions to test the knowledge of a student after completing a particular lesson, a platform to interact with fellow students, facilities to take your own notes which can be stored for future use and more. Further we are customising the platform to suit the other qualifications in a variety of fields,” Nadeen adds. Currently the Asian International Academy offers University of London Degree, Chartered Institute of Marketing and is the study centre and partner of Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management with a unique offering in customised training and distant learning programs in Sri Lanka.
