CCC to conduct ‘Media Strategies for the Corporate Sector’

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), in association with the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), will hold another three-day course on ‘Media Strategies for the Corporate Sector’.
The course will be conducted by two prominent journalists, Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim and AFP Bureau Chief for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Amal Jayasinghe.
The objective of the course is to enhance the capacity of corporate sector professionals in Sri Lanka, especially those who deal with the media.
Accordingly, the participants will be given training on how to write a media release and handle the media in a diplomatic manner, how to prepare press lines for a media conference and understand the roles of the hierarchy in print and broadcast media such as the editor, associate editor, deputy editor, sports editor, features, news and special subject editors, etc.
The course will also impart training on how to face a television interview and get the best mileage out of television.
The program will be conducted across three days starting from 26 November at the Sri Lanka Press Institute in Narahenpita.
The course will benefit marketers, communication and PR managers, external relations and corporate affairs personnel and any others with an interest in the subject.
