Commercial and industry security specialist, Certis Lanka Group recently held its annual Awards Ceremony at the BMICH on 24 June, where employees across the group were awarded for their achievements and scholarships were granted to their children.
Certis Lanka Group is a market leader in manpower security services in Sri Lanka and the awards ceremony was held to coincide with the 39th anniversary celebrations of the group which is a milestone for the security company. The company felicitated their employees for various achievements and contributions and 30 recipients were presented with trophies as well as cash rewards.
The relevant awards were according to criteria and categories of performance, knowledge based examinations, number of years in service, customer feedback, discipline and participation in company extra-curricular activities. Some of the main awards include employee of the year, best security officer of the year, best courier of the year and best nurse of the year among several others.
In addition to rewarding its employees, the Group awarded scholarships to 62 children of its employees who had achieved good results at the GCE Ordinary Level and GCE Advanced Level exams, so that they could further their academic aspirations.
Minister for Law and Order and Southern Development Sagala Rathnayake was present as the chief guest for the ceremony along with Certis Lanka Group CEO Vipul Hettige, Certis Lanka Group Chairman Sanka Wijesinghe, Certis International Business Development Vice President Lester Chua who were present as the Guests of honour.
Certis Lanka is a joint venture of Certis International Singapore, and they have been operating as independent entity and have provided security services in Sri Lanka for the past 39 years. Over the years the company has focused on providing its customers with comprehensive state of the art security solutions in services such as the transportation of cash and valuables, electronic security systems, courier services and home nursing through its subsidiary companies.
