Certis Lanka rewards employees across group for achievements

Commercial and industry security specialists, Certis Lanka Group who offers a myriad of different services and who is the market leader in manpower security services in Sri Lanka, rewarded its employees at a glamorous ‘awards ceremony’ held at the BMICH on 20 June 2014. This gala event was organised to coincide with the 37th anniversary celebrations of the Certis Lanka group. At this event they felicitated their employees across the group for various achievements and contributions to the company over the years while celebrating the significant milestone in completing 37 years of uninterpreted services with the theme ‘Securing your world’. The company identified over 30 recipients and honoured and presented them with glittering trophies and handsome cash rewards. The event was graced by Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabral with BDO Chartered Accountants Managing Partner Sujeewa Rajapakse as the guest of honour. The criteria and areas considered to select these award winners were areas such as performance, knowledge based examinations, number of years in service, customer feedback, discipline and participation in company extra-curricular activities. Some of the main award categories were employee of the year, nurse of the year, best security officer of the year, best courier of the year and best driver of the year among others. In addition to rewarding its employees, Certis Lanka group awarded scholarships to 62 children of its employees, who have performed well at the GCE O/L and GCE A/L examinations to further their academic aspirations. Certis Lanka group which is an ISO rated company and also a recipient of two international awards, presented for immeasurable contribution to the business world for high standing professionalism demonstrated by prestigious performance, commenced its business with a humble beginning. The company today boasts of a gigantic workforce of over 7,500 personnel and operates island wide serving its customers with the state of the art technology and operational expertise from Certis Cisco in Singapore. The 37th anniversary celebrations and awards ceremony is another important event of the Certis Lanka group whose team is dedicated in the pursuit of continual improvement, maintaining high standards of quality by application of QMS principles and at the same time are extremely mindful of the aspirations of its employees. The awards ceremony recognised the employees who have contributed to the growth of the business over the years.
