The undisputed iconic market leader in private legal education in the country, the CfPS Law School held its open day for the University of London Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and diploma in law programs on 23 February at the Galle Face Hotel.
The event was graced by senior academics like Professor Jenny Hamilton, Director, Undergraduate Laws, University of London International Programs, as the Special Guest of Honour and A.S.M. Perera, President’s Counsel, as the Chief Guest and also CfPS Chairman Saliya Peries, Vice Chairman Ajith Perera, and Managing Director Nanda Muruttettuwegama, along with the other lecturers.
The prospective students left the premises with solutions to all of their queries and clarifications to their doubts relating to higher studies in the legal field in Sri Lanka with the timely, logically considered and well-thought-out speeches delivered by the experts. The prospective students, parents, lectures and the college representatives communicated in an interactive way during the well-organised event.
Every year, Sri Lankan students are presented with an opportunity by CfPS to win scholarships worth Rs. 15 million to follow this highly esteemed LL.B degree and diploma, and this year also they have selected 100 deserving students out of over 1,000 applicants.
CfPS holds a competitive selection exam which tests applicants’ IQ and knowledge in current affairs and general knowledge, with an interview process where the applicants’ extracurricular activities, personality and academic achievements are scrutinised carefully. The scholarships are awarded in full, half and quarter packages according to the students’ performance and cover the fees payable to CfPS and the University of London.
