Christopher appointed Executive Director on Tokyo Cement Board

Highly qualified W. Christopher Fernando has been appointed as an Executive Director on the Board of Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) Plc with effect from 30 October 2014.

Fernando was appointed Group General Manager of the Company in 1991. He is a director of Fuji Cement Company (Lanka) Ltd., Tokyo Super Cement Company (Lanka) Ltd., Tokyo Cement Colombo Terminal Ltd., Tokyo Cement Power (Lanka) Ltd., and Tokyo Eastern Cement Company Ltd. He counts over 25 years of experience across various industries. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics, B. Phil (Hons) Economics and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (FCMA), Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) and an Attorney-at-Law. With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) Plc comprises of Edgar Gunatunga (Chairman), S.R. Gnanam (Managing Director), W.C. Fernando (Executive Director), A.S.G. Gnanam, E.J. Gnanam, R. Seevraratnam, Dr. Harsha Cabral, Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, W.M.R. Dias, H. Tsukigama and A. Ikematsu.
