size-controlled classrooms, coupled with its committed and dedicated lecture panel, ensures that students get individual attention, even to the extent of additional tutor support when necessary, all of which contribute towards achieving a pass on the very first attempt.
Shehan Fernando, the course leader of the institution a BBA – (1st class) Hons, CIMA Passed Finalist and ACCA Affiliate stated that his panel of qualified lecturers Dilshard Jiffry, Shaan Jayasekara, Sahad Mukthar, Rikzy Easa, Asanga Karunaratne, Zahid Musafer and Janith Gunasiri are fully geared to take over the change.
“They are experts in what they do; having specialised in the subjects that they have lectured over the years coupled with their corporate experience, my team is fully equipped to deliver the best and give proper guidance to the students who will be sitting for the new syllabus examination for which lectures commence in the first week of December.”
He added, “The new syllabus comprises of two sections per stage; the Objective Test Questions (OTQ) exam for each subject which is on-demand computer-based exam available throughout the year and a Case Study for each stage which is a written exam which can be taken at any of the four exam sessions a year. We at CIMA PLUS have structured our lecture series in such a way that these two sections are conducted separately, while providing study leave before the commencement of the case study lecture series which would help the students focus and finish their OTQ exams which would give them better focus for the case study.”
The new syllabus is also fully computer based, competence-driven and is based on the thinking of a current work place environment that is based on the use of competencies and a computerised environment. This will create a qualified professional who is immediately ready for a job. CIMA PLUS has also a structured and focused revision with mock exams to prepare the student for the new syllabus exams and to make sure that he or she gets through with ease.
To provide convenience to the students, CIMA PLUS also has in place loan schemes and instalment-payment plans as an added convenience for students to progress with their CIMA tuition. Furthermore, special discounts are offered to high achievers, be it in studies or sports, and also to those other professional and academic qualifications from recognised professional bodies and universities. CIMA PLUS facilitates various extra-curricular activities and has specifically allocated a separate lunch room, study room and prayer room.
The next intake for the CIMA commences on 6 December for part-time students and 8 December for full-time students. Visit our CIMA PLUS Campus at No. 21, Hill Street, Dehiwala or call 0711212121 for more details!
