The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) launched the Toast Masters Speech Craft program for the benefit of its members, passed finalists and students, in association with the Colombo Toastmasters Club on 5 February at the CMA head office.
The incumbent President of the Colombo Toast Masters Club, Sarmaa Mahalingam, in his introductory remarks welcomed the initiative by CMA and thanked the institute for choosing the premier Toast Masters Club to conduct the Speech Craft program.

CMA President, Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala wished the program’s participants great success in completing the Speech Craft program, which he believes will improve the confidence and employability of CMA professionals. He also invited all the participants to become founder members of the CMA Sri Lanka Toast Masters Club which will be formed after the completion of the Speech Craft program.
The keynote address on ‘Speakernomics - overcoming the fear of Speaking’ was delivered by veteran Toast Master Haleem Ghouse. Council member and Chairman of the Members and Student Affairs Committee of CMA, Ruchira Perera, who organised the Speech Craft Program, was also present at the occasion.
