CMA Sri Lanka holds first speech craft awards ceremony

The CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club conducted its first speech craft program sponsored by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA). Thirty members, passed finalists and final year students attended the program over a period of 10 weeks. The speech craft program enabled budding CMA Management Accountants with skills of communication.

Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala together with Council Members of CMA are committed to enrich and enhance  the knowledge and soft skill development of  its members, passed finalists and final year students enabling them to develop their leadership skills and achieve career progression in the corporate world.

The Speech craft program provides the following benefits:

Gain confidence in public speaking, develop communication and language skills, learn to think quickly and clearly, become an effective listener, evaluate effectively, use body language and visual aids, advance social skills and improve job or promotion prospects.

The final award ceremony of the first batch was successfully concluded at the CMA Auditorium on Sunday, 12 June. The certificates were presented by the Chief Guest Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and Council Members Adrian Perera and Ruchira Perera. 

The participants at the final speech craft program made excellent presentations with confidence, having gained skills in communication, leadership and conducted the meeting in a very professional and business manner. 

CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club President Chandana Samaraweera, VP Education Achala Perera and the Club members were present. They had made a valuable contribution to conduct this program with the Mentor and Course Director Toast Master Dian Abeywardena and mould the first batch of CMA speech crafters who could now join the CMA Toast Masters Club and further improve their skills.

The Awards Ceremony was conducted by the Course Director Toastmaster Dian Abeyewardene.
