Amiruddeen is also the art instructor at Ladies’ College, Stafford International, British School and the Invigilator for Cambridge and Edexel Examination Boards. She holds a Diploma in Art History from London Art College and a UK Diploma in Master Art from Thomson Education Direct, USA.
This series, organised by CSA, offers free lectures, presentations and discussions for the benefit of young students and parents. This Thursday’s 1-hour program from 4:30-5:30 p.m. will be the fourth and final session for the year 2014.
Since the launch of this unique series, Guest Speakers have included Fahad Al Hatim who spoke on ‘What on earth is Psychology? And, how it can help in ways you never imagined’; Udan Fernando on ‘How to pass your A-Levels well without going to school, and how to start a PhD while roaming around the streets’ and Mohamed Adamaly on ‘Winds of Change’.
“We set out to make these session challenging and motivating for young students,” says the Principal of Colombo School of Arts, Shaleeka Jayalath. She believes that the CSA Good Start Series gives young children the opportunity to learn and be inspired beyond the school curriculum.
CSA, the new international school in Colombo, is in the process of enrolling children and hopes to commence operations on 6 January 2015. CSA is affiliated to the Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) – Sri Lanka’s only institute that is directly associated with the prestigious University of Wales (UK) offering BSc and MBA degree programs.
