The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has felicitated 45 employees who completed 25 years of service with the bank in 2013, at its annual Long Service Awards Ceremony.
Many of the employees felicitated had joined the bank as school leavers in 1988 and now hold key positions in various departments at Sri Lanka’s largest private bank. Each employee received a plaque and a gold coin in recognition of his or her service to the bank.
Commercial Bank Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody and Managing Director/CEO Ravi Dias presented the awards to the felicitated employees. Addressing the gathering, they praised the commitment of the employees and noted that it is their hard work that has made the bank the most profitable private bank in the country.
The bank annually organises many events for employees and their families such as sports events, internal quiz programs, a children’s carnival, Poson Bakthi Gee and Christmas Carols, felicitates employees for their attendance and conducts an Achiever’s Night to recognise and reward achievements of branches.
The bank won the Gold award for the third consecutive year at the National HRM Awards and was named ‘Most Preferred Employer’ by LMD magazine.
