With ‘Strategic HR’ being the prime focal point of guidance for the past 20 years to most organisations in Sri Lanka, it is not often that companies today go beyond the norm to look past traditional practices.
However, with an emerging trend of what could be considered the next step in HR, comes ‘HR from the Outside In’. This is the practice of how HR professionals can use strategy as a window rather than a mirror, to align their work to forces and stakeholders outside their organisation; in comparison to the common practice where it only revolved around delivering business results.
