Cultivating business excellence: CIMA 9th corporate partners program

Amidst a gathering of top corporates and dignitaries CIMA unveiled its 29 corporate partners for the year 2015 at a glitzy event held at the Cinnamon Grand. The program celebrates a partnership between CIMA and corporates that helps to groom professionals to lead businesses and endure excellence through an exposure to cutting edge practices, knowledge and know-how.
The year 2015 is significant for CIMA as it celebrates 50 years of operations in Sri Lanka and opened with a celebratory clip played in lieu of the 50th anniversary of CIMA Sri Lanka, followed by the unveiling of the logos of the 29 corporate partners by the newly appointed Chairman of the CIMA Sri Lanka Board 2015, Vipula Gunatilleka and Bradley Emerson, Regional Director – Middle East, South Asia and North Africa, CIMA.
A presentation of a survey by MTI CEO Hilmy Cader, ‘MTI CEO Business Outlook Survey 2015’, highlighted CEO’s thoughts and how they looked back at 2014, together with some great insights of their forecasts and expectations in the year 2015. The presentation also highlighted the importance of good governance and steady economic policies if Sri Lanka was to achieve what it planned in the years ahead.
CIMA Regional Director – Middle East, South Asia and North Africa Bradley Emerson speaking at the event said, “The launch is a continuation of our collaboration with leading corporates in the country to constantly engage in transforming the national ability to global capability. In a world of work where experience is fast becoming redundant and competency becoming the core, receiving the partnership of employers is essential in our efforts of enhancing the skills of the managerial talent of Sri Lanka. As the companies are judged by the people they keep, this partnership, we believe is a commitment to enhance the profile of CIMA and our partners by raising the competency.”
