DHL Express sweeps awards as one of the best employers in Asia Pacific

Named ‘Best Employer’ and ‘Top Employer’ in Asia Pacific‘Best of the Best Employer’ in Indonesia and Taiwan
DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, announced it has been recognised by leading human capital organisations, including Aon Hewitt, Top Employers Institute and Great Place to Work Institute, as an exemplary employer and an excellent workplace in multiple markets throughout Asia Pacific since December 2014.
The total 15 awards include Asia Pacific-wide recognition, such as the ‘Aon Hewitt Best Employer Asia Pacific’ 2015 which is given to companies who have won Aon Hewitt awards in at least three countries across the region. DHL Express has exceeded this achievement – with a total of six countries; including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. DHL Express was also been presented the ‘Top Employers Award’ 2015 in Asia Pacific, for achieving the highest standards of excellence in employee conditions.

DHL places great importance in employee engagement, measuring its performance through the annual Employee Opinion Survey (EOS), a short and confidential questionnaire that all employees complete, to measure their engagement and satisfaction levels.
Engagement scores in Asia Pacific increased from 59% to 88% between 2009 and 2014. The results have improved across all aspects year-on-year over the same period, with an exceptionally high increase in employee learning and development from 66% to 91%.
DHL Express invests significantly in award-winning internal training programs, Certified International Specialist (CIS) and Certified International Manager (CIM), where over 100,000 employees worldwide have been trained. Employees are trained on the company strategy, fundamentals of international and management skills such as ensuring respect and results while interacting with colleagues.
Staff Appreciation Weeks are organised to express gratitude to employees through bonding activities such as movie nights, bring your kids to work day, family picnics and initiatives to fulfill employees’ personal dreams, to name a few.
