Dilini Halvitigala School of Interior Design holds certificate awarding ceremony

Dilini Halvitigala School of Interior Design is the first school in the country to offer a government approved professional certificate course on Interior Decoration.
This has opened up the opportunity for students from school leavers to housewives, other professionals, those who wish to pursue this as a hobby, part-time jobseekers, those who seek self-employment and those in the same field who wish to get a professional qualification.
This school’s mission is to create awareness of what design stands for, its benefits and spread the word around the country, as it has no barrier age, gender, religion, race or colour. Having successfully produced two batches and a batch in progress, the school held its first ever certificate awarding ceremony for 30 students of the first two batches and presented them with the Certificate in Professional Interior Decoration.
As a CSR project the school presented scholarships worth of Rs. 1 million in line with the Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City from district 306 c2 at a ceremony held recently at the
Kadiragamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies, Colombo 7. The Chief Guest was Carlton Pre School Group Principal Shiranthi Wickramesinghe Rajapakse. Founder of the School of Interior Design Dr. Dilini Halvitigala was also present.
