Dr. Narangoda, first practising healthcare professional to earn CIMA Fellowship

Director/Chief Executive Officer of Browns Hospitals /Healthcare, Dr. Sajeeva Narangoda was recently awarded the Fellowship of CIMA (UK) and thus goes on record as becoming the first-ever practicing doctor in the history of CIMA (UK) to become a Fellow of the institute.

Having become an Associate Member of CIMA in 2008, Dr. Narangoda served on the CIMA Sri Lanka Board Sub-Committee on Student Development in 2012/2013 and currently serves on the the Board Sub-Committee on Employer Relations.
He has also served on the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards as an International Hospital Surveyor since 2011, surveying many hospitals in Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and South East Asia.
The Browns healthcare sector is a new venture of the Browns Group established with the aim of developing a chain of secondary care general hospitals and diagnostic centres to deliver quality care through comprehensive integrated clinical practice and personalised care.
Dr. Narangoda previously served Hemas Hospitals, a fully-owned subsidiary of Hemas Holdings Plc, from late 2006 to early 2012.
Having a special interest in hospital administration and health economics, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Finance and Management from the University of Keele in the UK in 2005/2006.
