Emirates to host ‘Open Day’ in Colombo on 4 October to recruit cabin crew

A cabin crew recruitment team from Emirates, the global connector of people and places, will be in Colombo on Saturday, 4 October, for an invitation-only, ‘Open Day’ event for prospective candidates.
The award-winning airline, which currently employs more than 1,200 Sri Lankans including 146 cabin crew, is inviting Sri Lankan candidates to apply online on www.emirates.com/careers to receive an invitation to the ‘Open Day.’
The Cabin Crew Recruitment team will assess the online applications and those shortlisted will be invited to meet the Team for further assessment on 4 October, the airline said.
Emirates seeks dedicated employees, who are open-minded, helpful, friendly and service-oriented. Applicants have to be at least 21 years old at the time of possible recruitment and are requested to send their curriculum vitae (CV) in English, and a photograph. Candidates must have a reach of 212cm while standing on tiptoe.
Emirates commenced services to Sri Lanka in April 1986 and currently operates 34 flights a week from Colombo – 27 flights westward to the Maldives and Dubai and a daily flight eastwards to Singapore, offering convenient connections to the Emirates global network of 146 destinations in 83 countries and territories, including cargo-only destinations.
Emirates currently operates a young, technologically-advanced fleet of 228 wide-bodied aircraft that is equipped with industry-leading comforts. Additionally, Emirates has 294 wide-bodied aircraft on order, worth more than $ 138 billion, and is the leading customer of the Airbus A380 with 52 in its fleet and 88 on order. It is due to its rapid, dynamic expansion that Emirates is seeking new cabin crew this year.
