‘Fight Cancer, Talk Entrepreneurship’ seminar

The Colours of Courage Trust organised a seminar titled ‘Fight Cancer, Talk Entrepreneurship’ to raise funds towards the Jaffna Hospital project. The forum was held recently at the Cinnamon Lakeside where the audience witnessed five unrivalled professionals from the field of business and sports come together to share their insights, experiences and success stories on the journey they took to become exceptional leaders. It was a learning experience for 320 participants who witnessed Deshamanya Mahesh Amalean deliver a talk on ‘How a company’s culture can lead to extraordinary business results’, Dian Gomes on ‘Leadership through sport’, Sarinda Unamboowe and Nathan Sivagananathan on ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ and Shanil Fernando on ‘The culture and spirit of the Silicon Valley’. All proceeds of the seminar will be utilised towards the construction of the cancer unit at the Jaffna Hospital as well as the development of a High Dependency Paediatric Unit. The event was supported by Platinum sponsors A&E, HSBC, DHL and ECO-CHEM, Gold sponsors Expo Lanka and Quenby, along with print and electronic media partners Sunday Times/Daily FT, and MTV/MBC/News 1st, respectively.
