First UNSW doctoral scholarship recipient from PIM

The first recipient of the doctoral scholarship awarded by the University of New South Wales, under the PIM-UNSW Partnership Program, Menike Atapattu, was felicitated by the institute’s faculty and staff recently, at the institute.
Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) Acting Director Dr. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri addressing the faculty and the staff at this momentous occasion, said that the initiation of the doctoral scholarship under the PIM-UNSW Partnership Program would set in motion the much needed research culture at the PIM in particular, as the country would ultimately be benefited by enriching the practices, concepts and theories of management. For bringing about this desired change especially in the field of research he profusely appreciated the contributions of both Dr. A.K.L. Jayawardana and Prof. J.A.S.K. Jayakody.
Atapattu appreciated the contributions of the faculty and the staff in enabling her to receive the doctoral scholarship, and assured that once she achieves her objective she would assist the PIM in the best possible manner to enhance its research arm.
On behalf of the faculty and the staff Dr. Dharmasiri presented a plaque to Atapattu in recognition of securing the first doctoral scholarship awarded by the UNSW, Australia, under the PIM-UNSW Partnership Program.
