Nature’s Beauty Creations (NBC) and the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer foreign scholarships to VTA’s beauty instructors.

In keeping with their mission, Nature’s Secrets has for several years been supplying its products free-of-charge for its practical lessons to students of the VTA. Significantly, these opportunities by way professional training with reputed beauty culture consultants and specialists will directly contribute to the development process of Sri Lanka.
“Steps have been taken to train beauty instructors who will in turn train many a beauty instructor in Sri Lanka and thus improve their knowledge and arm them with skills and heighten their inborn capabilities.
In Thailand they will be given resident training for seven days. These newly-trained beauty instructors will also continue to help “beautify” the tourist sector, which is seeing a remarkable upward trend after the end of the 30-year-old gruesome war. It is at a time as this that VTA and Nature’s Secrets are providing these opportunities and facilities through this project,” said Chairman and Managing Director of Nature’s Secrets Saman Kumarasinghe. He believes that it is the duty of all organisations to support such social responsibility programs.
Under the private-public partnership concept, Nature’s Secrets and VTA have launched many such programs since 2005 to improve the skills of personnel involved in the beauty culture industry. VTA has organised beauty culture training programs country wide and taken steps to effectively improve the skills of the new aspirants in the same field.
Nature’s Secrets has been in the forefront initiating, training and sponsoring of such programs. In this newest move, Nature’s secrets and the VTA will continue to pour forth skilled, trained, and competent beauty culture experts into the industry. The beauty culture industry in Sri Lanka will see a flow of young, knowledgeable and dynamic beauty culture personnel who have had international exposure.
VTA was established under the provisions of the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka Act No. 12 of 1995, consisting of 6 National Vocational Training Institutes, 24 District Vocational Training Centres and 245 Vocational Training Centres.
