With more than 50,000 members already enrolled, the popular Ransalu Privilege – a welfare program for employees and staff in the apparel sector has recognised Harcourts Pharmacy network as the preferred brand for wellness and medicinal services.

With their island-wide network of outlets Harcourts Pharmacies has offered special rates for products sold in their outlets with discounts ranging from 5% to 10% on a year round basis.

“We thank the management for their support and for their willingness to contribute towards the worker welfare of this important sector,” CH17 CEO Jumar Preena said.

Harcourts Pharmacy joins several other leading retailers of consumer products and service brands to support this program jointly launched under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF).

This program was inaugurated in January 2014 and has covered nearly 30 factories located in different parts of the country. The purpose of this exercise was to reward, appreciate and retain the skill set who have rendered an invaluable service to the industry over the years. Today the Apparel Sector stands out as the single largest industrial employer with a workforce of nearly 350,000. This industry has been playing a significant role in strengthening the country’s economy with an annual export earning of nearly $ 5 billion record in the past year.

With the prospects of GSP+ facility in the offing and after securing new niche markets in countries such as Japan, China and the US, the industry will be hard pressed to consolidate its position the international scene as a front runner supplying quality garments, delivered on time and manufactured following the best practices and bound to follow ethical practices in manufacture.

According to Harcourts Group of Companies Chairman Ahamed Rheyas, this is a unique opportunity to participate in a welfare service of this nature encompassing employees belonging to a particular trade. This is a novel scheme as the card members get the best price throughout the year without any terms and conditions.

“Harcourts is today a trusted brand fast spreading its wings across many parts of the country.  We have a network of 31 pharmaceutical outlets and more are planned in the coming months,” the Chairman pointed out.

Our pillars of success are reliability, trustworthiness and efficiency. The qualified staff is our greatest asset whose service to the customers has won customer praise over the quarter century of existence in this trade, he added.

The Ransalu Program is backed by Mobitel’s One Network who are specialists in networking Ransalu Merchants to the CH17’s loyalty program that is run on the state of the art NFC technology. CH17’s Smart Card supplier is Lake House Printers and Publishers.

According to Preena more existing benefits and privileges are being worked out with the support of MasterCard and their issuing local banks. These will roll out in due course, he added.
