JASTECA to conduct another key Japanese management seminar

JASTECA takes the lead once again to conduct another important day seminar on 15 March 2013, on ‘Kaizen and Innovation’ by Professor Fujita who is no stranger to Sri Lankan industry.



Innovation through 5S and kaizen has made a revolution in the Japanese economy. 5S and kaizen have been recognised as the ultimate tool to bring about excellence in business performance. This is proven in Sri Lanka too as several leading corporate entities and public enterprises which implemented 5S and kaizen had attained higher productivity than all other organisations.

This resourceful seminar is an opportunity for the participants to listen to the well-practiced within and closely guarded formulae of Japanese companies on ‘Kaizen and Innovation’ from the eminent kaizen guru Professor Seiichi Fujita. With extensive observations made by Professor Fujita by visiting over 50 Sri Lankan industries and institutions, he is able to share with the participants how this task can be best carried out within the Sri Lankan environment.

This one-day workshop will focus on ‘Kaizen and Innovation’ by Professor Seiichi Fujita, with Sunil Wijesinha adding finer points of Advanced 5S.

This seminar is aimed at entrepreneurs, directors, CEOs, general managers aspiring to introduce ‘a productivity revolution’ in their organisations, senior managers and executives who are and will be directly engaged in the innovation as key leaders in 5S and kaizen implementation teams.

Contents of the workshop will include kaizen philosophy and Japanese case studies; kaizen for Sri Lankan business excellence; recent trends in Japanese innovation ideally suited for Sri Lanka; case study on kaizen and Just-In-Time (JIT); introduction to advanced form of 5S and productive use of capital and 5S – a tool for productivity enhancement for corporates.

There will be an interactive session wherein participants will be given an opportunity to take up any specific issues that prevails in their industries for which they can seek ideas from Professor Fujita.
