Kelani Cables conducts first ‘Kelani Visura’ training program for 2013 in Anuradhapura

Kelani Cables PLC conducted its first training workshop for 2013 under the theme ‘Kelani Visura’ at Casserole Reception Hall in the historic city of Anuradhapura. These technical training workshops are organised for the benefit of the local electricians held as monthly events throughout the island.



These training programs are recognised as a golden opportunity for the novice electricians and even better for the professionals to upgrade their knowledge on the new advancements of the technology. These programs are conducted under the CSR program ‘Viduli Kaarmika Subha Saadhana Ran Mehewara’ of Kelani Cables PLC.

A total of 150 electricians from Anuradhapura District participated at this workshop and participants were given a lecture conducted by a veteran charted electrical engineer. This lecture emphasised on how to select suitable wires of plug points with respect to distance, switches and lamps.

The practical issues which will arise in laying wires in an electrical system will also be taught. All electricians participating at these workshops held at comfortable hotels with all inclusive food and beverages are awarded with a certificate and valuable gift pack.

Kelani Cables PLC will make sure that all electricians participating will have the proper knowhow of drawing and installing a domestic electrical diagram by the end of these workshops.

Kelani Cables achieved a milestone figure of 1,500 trained electricians in the latter part of last year during a workshop held at Monaragala. Kelani Visura, the most popular electrician training program in the country has reached the people of war affected areas like Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Kalmunai, Ampara and Monaragala as well.
