Kelani Cables recognises employee with ‘CEO Award’ for sales excellence

Kelani Cables PLC, Sri Lanka’s number one brand in secure electrical and communication cables, has honoured the company’s outstanding sales person for the previous commercial year with the ‘CEO Award’. This major annual award was initiated for the second time at Waters Edge graced by Kelani Cables CEO Mahinda Saranapala. The award was clinched by Kelani Cables Area Sales Manager Sripathi Samantha who is serving in the projects Division of the company. Sripathi received his award coupled with a handsome cash award for exceeding his annual target by 30% to bring a record sales volume to the company. Speaking at the occasion Kelani Cables CEO Saranapala said the backbone of any company is its dedicated workforce. Hence it is the responsibility of a thriving organisation to recognise employees who contribute towards the betterment of the organisation. “The CEO Award is presented by Kelani Cables to the performer par excellence in a particular year who has contributed towards sales excellence. This year’s award winner Sripathi Samamntha has exceeded his targets and recorded a mammoth individual sales volume. I wish him very best for his achievement on behalf of the entire company,” he said. Kelani Cables PLC is a 100% Sri Lankan owned company serving the nation for over four decades manufacturing electrical and communication cables. In the recently-concluded SLIM Brand Excellence 2012, Kelani Cables clinched the bronze award for the ‘Excellent Business Brand’ category. The company clinched gold at the SLIM Brand Excellence 2013 for the same category. Kelani Cables is the proud recipient of ISO 9000:2008 for quality, ISO 14001:2004 for better environment management, national standards award and the gold winner of Taiki Akimoto 5S award.
