Kelaniya Uni. Staff Development Centre first with ISO certification

The staff of the Development Center of the University of Kelaniya received the ISO 9001-2008 accreditation from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) for the staff development program it conducts for lecturers of higher educational institutions in Sri Lanka, marking a milestone in the history of staff training at the tertiary level.
The certificate was awarded in recognition of the centre’s commitment to implement international quality standardising to its Staff Development Program, which is compulsory for all probationary staff members in universities and HEIs.
This certification reflects the Centre’s objectives and aspirations to offer the best staff training program for newly-recruited staff members at Sri Lankan higher educational institutions according to national and international standards.
The SDC strives to become the centre of excellence for enhancing knowledge, skills and attitudes of the stakeholders of the Sri Lankan higher education sector by providing professional development opportunities and resources to meet the evolving needs of Sri Lankan higher educational institutions.
