Kumar de Silva launches Corporate Etiquette Consultancy

Veteran public relations and media consultant Kumar de Silva has launched his latest venture – Corporate Etiquette Consultancy.
“The wealth of any organisation, however big or small, is its staff. By virtue of their different positions within the organisation, they are the persons who finally represent the organisation and constitute its ‘human face’. They are thus without doubt, the de-facto ‘ambassadors’ of any and all organisations,” said de Silva.
“Having worked with the corporate sector of different levels for nearly three decades, I feel the time is opportune for me to share my vast hands-on experience and expertise with all those entry-level and mid-level Sri Lankan corporates to help them enhance their soft skills as they journey up the corporate ladder. Coupled with this are also requests I’ve got from numerous HR Managers of several leading organisations to embark on a venture of this nature,” he added.
Corporate employees, he says, are constantly being challenged by the rapidly changing needs of the business environments they function in. “It is thus of critical importance that the staff of every organisation is endowed with finely tuned soft skills to enable them stand out tall and be the envy of their peers.”
‘Corporate Etiquette Consultancy with Kumar de Silva’ is a half-day program which constitutes five very intensive and totally interactive one-hour segments which have been specially customised for Sri Lankan needs. They are: ‘General Corporate Etiquette’, ‘Cocktail Protocol – Wining & Dining’, ‘Personal Hygiene and Grooming’, ‘Effective Communication Skills’, and ‘The International Travel Savvy Passenger’. These all involve a great deal of role play, handling situations and cover all critical areas successful corporates need to know.
“These are lessons that will empower them for life. The confidence and savoir-faire they acquire will give them the winning edge and enhance their ‘offering’ to both their employers and customers,” asserted de Silva.
