Lanka BPO Academy produces world’s best results for CISI

Recently-published results show that Lanka BPO Academy students have achieved top results globally in the very first sittings of the Certificate for Finance Risk and Decision Making conducted by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in London and Sri Lanka. Dulmini Sathya Sri Dharmapala achieved the highest in the world for the overall results and also scored the highest in the world for the second unit which is Investment Decision Making, Accounting and Governance. Tiara Balasuriya, another student from Lanka BPO Academy achieved the second highest overall result.

Dulmini, aged 19 Dulmini from Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo completed her A/Ls in 2013 in commerce and subsequently joined Lanka BPO Academy. Thrilled with her success she said: “I was shocked when I got to know that I had scored the highest marks in the world for the CISI exam. I chose the CISI at Lanka BPO Academy since I wanted to do something unique. I did a fair bit of research and found that the CISI qualification would be the best qualification that I should possess to have a financially rewarding career. Talking about my success I must say the excellent lecture program, together with the use of practical examples at Lanka BPO Academy, helped me to achieve the world’s number 1 position.” Dharshana Illamperuma, Director and Chief Lecturer at Lanka BPO Academy said: “I am pleased with the excellent performance of students from Lanka BPO Academy having obtained the world’s No. 1 and 2 positions during the July sitting of the CISI Finance, Risk & Decision Making exam. “The CISI qualification is the best professional qualification available in Sri Lanka giving in-depth knowledge about areas such as investments, banking, finance etc. Students going through this program would be able to work in multiple disciplines in any business organisation.
