JC Ventures Private Limited in collaboration with Sri Lanka Foundation is proud to promote and generate a part time job culture in Sri Lanka. At the moment there are not many opportunities for part time jobs in Sri Lanka compared with countries like USA, UK, Canada or Australia, where part lime jobs are very popular. We have identified that the main issue is the lack of a platform to find part time job opportunities and the lack of part time job culture in Sri Lanka. The main objective of our project is to create part time jobs in Sri Lanka for the benefit of part time job seekers, job providers and contribute to the country’s economy.
Together with Sri Lanka Foundation’s assistance we will tie up with Government, Non-government and Private sector organisations to find their part time job requirements, which will be published on the website. We expect on average to post over 5,000 new part time jobs in our website every month.
This website will be useful for all part time job seekers who will be school leavers, undergraduates, post graduate students, retired persons, mechanics, domestic helpers, professionals (engineers, accountants, doctors, etc), academics, housewives, etc. On the other hand from small hotels to international hotel chains, small businesses to multinationals and blue chip companies this could be the platform to find part timers for their urgent job requirements. Not stopping there we will be having processes to verify members on the website to ensure that work will be done easily and effectively.
We have categorised part time job areas into three main different sectors: Corporate, Domestic and Individual. There will be over 150 job categories under these three sectors. This will make it very easy for the part time job seeker to select their interested/talented field. When job providers advertise part time jobs the job seekers in the relevant categories will get an alert via email or SMS about the new jobs posted. This will fast-track the job application/search process and meets the demand for spontaneous job needs.
