Laugfs wins Silver for HR excellence at SLITAD Awards

This strategy has allowed employee empowerment and motivation with bottom to top communication and recognition and reward through streamlined and transparent performance evaluations. Laugfs Petroleum emerged with impressive results from the evaluation process which considered several important areas of Human Resources. These included business strategy, people management strategy, management effectiveness, learning and development strategy and initiatives, leadership and management strategy, recognition and rewarding of employees, involvement and empowerment of employees, performance measurement and commitment to continuous improvement. SLITAD People Development Awards is a unique awards program which recognises and celebrates outstanding achievements in the sphere of Human Resource Development. The Awards are organised annually by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), a leading Human Resource institute in the country, and are designed to evaluate companies’ performances in the area of people development and training. The awards show attracted an enthusiastic response this year with a large number of public and private sector organisations applying for honours.
