Manohari represents Sri Lanka on AOTS scholarship at Global Executive Program on Corporate Managemen

Untitled-4Hayleys PLC Head of Strategic Business Development Manohari Abeyesekera was selected out of more than 100 applicants by HIDA Japan to represent Sri Lanka to follow the Global Executive Program on Corporate Management in Tokyo in August. This is one of the most prestigious programs conducted by the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship/ The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (AOTS/HIDA Japan) under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Tsueno Yahagi, a prize winning Alumnus of Stanford University.

There were 23 participants from 16 countries from South America, Middle East, Africa and Asia attending the program, of which Manohari was the only lady participant. During her stay in Japan, Manohari visited Tokyo, and a study tour which included a visit to the Toyota Plant, Nagoya and Omron Corporation in Kyoto.

Manohari is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) from University of Colombo graduating with First Class Honours, and read for the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Colombo topping the batch. She was selected for the International Visitor Leadership Program by the Department of State, United States of America in September 2014.
