Mercury students excel at June 2015 CFA examinations

Mercury Institute of Management the pioneers in bringing tuition for the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification to Sri Lankan students and being the only institute to gain the position of being a CFA Institute listed prep provider for live tuition programs in Sri Lanka, successfully concluded its June 2015 CFA Program.

Mercury with its team of exceptionally gifted lecturers who all come from a CFA background and experienced personnel from the industry steered another batch of candidates to excel the June 2015 CFA examination. The teaching methods adopted included a structured approach in gearing students for exam success such as, full coverage of syllabus, which was followed by revision at the end of the session. Furthermore due to the complex nature of the CFA financial calculator, a special calculator session was conducted to June 2015 batch.

Mercury is proud to boast testimonials of few among many of its candidates who overcame the much challenging CFA exams in June 2015. Amongst them, a candidate who succeeded the level 1 June 2015 exam, Richardson Morais, stated that the Mercury lecture panel had been a key support for him to successfully pass his exam and helped him understand the subject areas well due to their practical approach of lecturing. He also said that their comprehensive revision classes provided more confidence to sit for the examination. 

Suranga Sarukkali, another successful candidate, who is eager to start the level 2 tuition with Mercury, also endorsed these sentiments. Others who had benefitted include Rukshani Adhihetty, Nilukshi Jayawardena, both undergraduates of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo and Eranda Kalhara and Sudharaka Sandeepana, both undergraduates of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo all of who claimed that Mercury’s lecture panel them to keep track of the time, study and do timed papers well ahead, and proved to be the best and most competent lecture panels they have had the privilege of studying under as the lecturers were not bound by the curriculum that they were set and went beyond to ensure that students performed to the best of their abilities.

Akila Devendra, a financial analyst by profession and who overcame the level 2 examination hurdle stated that managing CFA exams along with work and other important commitments is very strenuous but the support from Mercury revision classes really helped make things easy and the support from the lecturers was valuable. This was further backed by another Mercury student Lakshitha Gunaratne, manager of a corporate finance division in a premier blue chip, stating that the revision classes at Mercury became helpful in passing both Level 2 and level 3 CFA exams and earns the CFA charter.
