Mercury to expand reach to key regions of the country

In terms of our institute at Colombo 3, we have now turned it into one that has an all the facilities of a fully-fledged ACCA campus, where ACCA will be the main program conducted here along with the Oxford Brooks degree that goes along with it. It will be an exclusive ACCA operation. The facilities provided for the students will be enhanced with the view of creating an ACCA Campus atmosphere. Thus in time to come, the facility to sit for all exams on line will be available at Mercury, in keeping with the current trend and direction in which ACCA itself is moving.” Shakespear also outlined the methodologies adapted at Mercury: “Our lecturer panel which consists of industry experienced personnel who are full time lecturers at the institute ensure that you are geared to face the exams with confidence. We adopt a stringent coaching infrastructure that ensures students of a truly one-to-one coaching experience which helps them pass first time at all levels. We are uncompromising on compact, size-controlled classes which follow in the footsteps of countries with high standards of education such as UK which insist on a minimum number of students per class. Students are also required to attend the exam driven/exam focus classes for each of the papers registered. These classes are followed by a mock exam where questions are answered under examination conditions.”
Elaborating further, he stated: “In tutorials, the emphasis is on the application of knowledge in the real world of business and accounting practices. Apart from lecture notes, students are also given an ACCA-approved recommended text for each of the papers enrolled which are those recommended by ACCA UK which consists of Kaplan study material. I believe we are currently the only institute to give original study material packs to our students.
