Gamini Wijesinghe has assumed duties at the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB) as its second Director General with effect from 16 July 2014.
He counts over 28 years experience at the Department of Inland Revenue.
Prior to joining SLAASMB he was the Senior Commissioner International Tax Policy attending to all transfer pricing issues. He was instrumental in developing the guidelines for tax implications on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He also has experience in auditing in different audit firms, locally and overseas.
Wijesinghe is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (Special) from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura. He also holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the Kyunghee University, Korea.
