The launching of the A.W. Institution of Training and Etiquette was held recently at the Galadari Hotel.

The event was held on a grand scale, with a press conference followed by a cocktail with the presence of Deputy General Manager Mangala Randeniya of the Sri Lankan Foreign Employment Bureau, Anusha Withanage, Managing Director of A.W Institution of Training and Etiquette, Lalith Rajapakse, Deputy Principal of International Hotel School Mount Lavinia Hotel, and Amal Nanayakkara, Training Manager of Aitken Spence Hotels.

Managing Director Anusha Withanage explained that she had been an hotelier for many years, and that she wanted to build people up in mental happiness and etiquette. She further said that she was teaching them English communication, as the person who is able to speak English has to have personality, grooming, hygiene, etc.

She is currently on a training stint with four Arpico Super stores and Mas Holdings Katunayake, and has seen the improvement in the Free Trade Zone mentality.

She said that her next step was to meet up with commandos of the three forces and go into the rural camps, as the war was over and they needed guidance to move with the civilians, and to know that they are treasured, valuable people.
