Everjobs (https://www.everjobs.lk), Sri Lanka’s new job portal, has started operations in Colombo, with Managing Director Sascha Woelk introducing the company officially to the public at a press conference. Everjobs’ mission is to simplify the job search and hiring process by connecting job seekers with employers in a matter of clicks. The Everjobs site offers helpful tools and intuitive features, such as a CV creation tool, easy site navigation, search filters, and career tips. The platform provides the right match for job seekers and employers alike: posts on the website range from small local enterprises to multinational corporations, from entry level roles for graduate students to top level positions; from day one close to a hundred employers have listed over a thousand job listings. Everjobs brings the Sri Lankan job market to the fingertips of job seekers. Woelk asserts: “We aim to facilitate the growing job market in Sri Lanka that is resulting from a rapidly growing economy. What we want to do is not simply offer a jobs platform. We want to get involved with the local communities. Giving career advice to students across top institutions such as Colombo University, Business Management School and SLIIT is one of our activities to help. Our goal is very clear: to enable talented job seekers to find incredible job opportunities.” In Sri Lanka, the growing market of online job classifieds not only provides an efficient and effective channel for employers to find talented individuals, it also provides job seekers the convenience of finding out what job opportunities are opening up in real time. This will save both employers and jobs seekers a lot of time. The ever so easy to use jobs platform is a stepping-stone in supporting the growing job market in Sri Lanka.“At Everjobs we believe every individual has a unique set of skills and all it takes is the right match for them to flourish. We are confident that we can assist in making that happen,” adds Woelk. Everjobs launched first in 2012 in Myanmar (https://www.work.com.mm) and is now starting to expand across fast-growing economies in Asia and Africa. The company is backed by Rocket Internet and benefits from being part of the highly successful networks Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG) and Africa Internet Group (AIG). The groups manage the operations of 17 e-companies across 41 countries.
