New specialisation boost for USQ MBA offered at CA Sri Lanka

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) MBA programme offered by the Business School of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) has received a tremendous boost with a new specialisation incorporated for the benefit of the new intake which will commence in September 2012.

With intake commencing from September, the USQ MBA will include the ‘Strategic Human Resource Management’ specialisation apart from the already existing specialisations covering finance, strategic marketing and project management.

The Strategic Human Resource Management specialisation will cover several broad subject areas including performance management and people development, global issues in employment relations and strategic management of human resources and innovation  The USQ MBA is recognised as one of Australia’s top 20 MBA programmes and has been well received in Sri Lanka over a period of 10 years with more than 400 students completing the programme since it was introduced to professionals in Sri Lanka.  CA Sri Lanka President Sujeewa Rajapakse noted that the USQ MBA is one of the most successful MBA programmes in the country followed by professionals both at junior and senior levels and has also been followed by well-established corporate leaders in the country. “The institute and the University of Southern Queensland has been working together for well over ten years and we are continuously endeavouring to provide professionals from both the accounting and non-accounting sectors with the best of local and foreign qualifications right here in Sri Lanka,” he said.

He said that this new specialisation will be a tremendous boost for the curriculum as it covers a very important subject which is a requirement nowadays when doing business.
