Passed Finalists Certificate Awarding Ceremony of AAT Sri Lanka

01AAT Sri Lanka, the pioneer in producing middle level accounting personnel to the country, held its Passed Finalists Certificate Awarding Ceremony on 22 February at the BMICH Main Hall, Colombo. The students who were awarded certificates at the ceremony included those who successfully completed the final level of the AAT Examinations held in January and July 2016. The ceremony was conducted in two sessions due to the large number of passed finalists. Approximately more than 1,500 students were awarded the certificates.

The Chief Guest of the morning session was Minister of Home Affairs Vajira Abeywardana while CA Sri Lanka President Lasantha Wickramasinghe graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. 

Ministry of Labour and Trade Union Relations Secretary S.M. Gotabaya Jayaratna was the Chief Guest of the Evening Session and the keynote speaker while CA Sri Lanka Vice President Jagath Perera graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. 

AAT has become to be the first professional course the school community comes across soon after the O/L examination. From the inception of the association; three decades ago it had attracted over 280,000 students, which is above 1% of the Sri Lankan population. Today, AAT is considered to be the strong foundation which provides access to many other professional courses and an entry qualification to universities to qualify as graduates.
