Five members of the PIM faculty presented three papers at the 14th South Asian Management Forum in the Maldives, organised by the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA) held in April in Bandos Island of the Maldives.
Over 100 delegates from SAARC countries representing management institutions and universities attended the forum. A number of specially selected papers were presented and widely debated. The broad theme of the forum was ‘Governance and Public Policy - Role of Management Development’.
The PIM delegation made their contribution through three important papers on the above theme namely ‘Public Service Capacity Building in Sri Lanka’(Prof. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri and D. Lloyd Fernando), ‘Challenges in E-Government to Realise its Full Potential Impact in Sri Lanka’( Dr. Gayan H. Jayakody) and ‘Measuring Training Effectiveness of Executive Development Programmes: An Institutional Response to Develop a Participatory Model for Enhanced Development’ (Samantha Rathnayake and K.A.I. Kalyanaratne).
