The Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) has extended its training programs to meet tailor made requirements of corporate institutions irrespective of the magnitude of their operations. Poly Glass together with SLF embarked on a project to develop the soft skills abilities of their entire team through a two-day workshop.
They were exposed to both action learning in the classroom as well as activity based learning in an enriching environment with multiple experiences. Parallel to this exercise the company launched its website under the patronage of SLF Chairman Professor Ranjith Bandara. Poly Glass is looking forward to initiate a series of such programs in the future.
SLF has entered into many strategic partnerships with both local and international Institutions. These partnerships have added more value and recognition to the study programs of the SLF. The SLF has made its mark as an emerging educational hub situated in the heart of Colombo in a salubrious and enriching environment overlooking the Independence Square at Colombo 7.
The SLF also blessed with ample space and adequate facilities, has the capacity to cater to multiple demands which will eventually enable participants to gain a wonderful learning experience.
A good number of Study programs of the SLF are open to all and it is encouraging to see a large number of corporate entities now building private-public sector partnerships with SLF, while major segments in the public sector too are engaged in similar activities.
SLF is known to be the foremost adult education centre in Sri Lanka, established in 1974 consequent to an agreement between the Sri Lanka Foundation and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
Today, Sri Lanka Foundation is on a stronger footing where it is regularised under an Act of Parliament, The Sri Lanka Foundation Law No. 31 of 1973. Sri Lanka Foundation functions autonomously under the purview of the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka and is managed by a Board under the chairmanship of Prof. Ranjit Bandara and is gradually becoming the most popular and demanding learning centre for many in the country.
