IMSL- SLF public lecture on 28 August
The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) is organising a public lecture on ‘Productivity and Quality – the Japanese Way’ by Sunil Wijesinha together with the Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) on Wednesday 28th August at the The Sri Lanka Foundation, 100, Independence Square, Colombo 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This event is a continuation of the IMSL-SLF public lecture series which is a part of their education and knowledge development programs aimed at sharing and developing knowledge and best practices in management issues of contemporary and timely interest.
Wijesinha has specialised in industrial engineering and productivity and is a well known proponent of Japanese-style management techniques, having pioneered the introduction of some of them in Sri Lanka.
In addition to being the President of Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity, Wijesinha also serves as Chairman of Watawala Plantations PLC, Chairman of United Motors Lanka PLC, Chairman of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, President of the National Chamber of Commerce and is the Managing Director of BizEx Consulting (Ltd. He has a multi-disciplinary background being a Chartered Production Engineer and an Accountant who also has a Masters Degree in Business Admi-nistration.
Registration for this public lecture is free of charge and will be on a first come first served basis.
