Registration of Persons and Institutions qualified to teach Official Languages - 2014

The closing date for submission of applications to register at the Department of Official Languages by persons and institutions qualified to teach Official Languages has been extended up to 29th June 2014. The Cabinet of Ministers has given approval for the recommendations in the report of the Official committee, appointed by the Cabinet for the purpose of presenting recommendations, after studying the language competency required to be gained by the public officers. In accordance with these recommendations, persons and institutions qualified to teach Sinhala and Tamil languages are to be registered. Accordingly, with the purpose of effectively monitoring and guiding the Learning Teaching Process, applications are being called from persons and institutions teaching official languages, for the registration at the Department of Official Languages. The Commissioner of Official Languages announced that the closing date has been extended up to 29th August 2014.
