Royal College Class of ’72 to host ‘Excellence in Action’ seminar on 17 March

The Royal College Class of ’72 will host the highly anticipated ‘Excellence in Action’ career development seminar on 17 March at the Cinnamon Grand in Colombo. The inspiring event is being held for the fourth consecutive year and will feature an array of eminent speakers and personalities who have achieved resounding success in the corporate world.
This year, the ‘Excellence in Action’ seminar will feature a mix of successful business people and personalities including Eran Wickramaratne – Deputy Minister of Highways and Investment Promotions; Priyan Fernando – Chairman, Brandix Lanka Ltd.; Ashroff Omar – Director/CEO, Brandix Lanka Ltd.; Bernard Sinniah – Managing Director/Global Head of Corporate FX Sales for Citi, UK; YasasHewage – Founder/Sales Coach, SkillSaladand Chairman Strategy College; and Hirunika Premachandra – Provincial Council Member, Western Province. Each speaker will share their insights and focus on inspiring and nurturing the gathering of future leaders. All these speakers will reiterate one common belief – thatnothing is impossible.

The ‘Excellence in Action’ seminar is designed specifically for senior and middle management professionals as well as entrepreneurs. The event is also ideal for professionals who are being nurtured as part of a succession plan or who are being groomed to take on roles in enterprise development.
Throughout the program, the speakers will strive to cultivate a winning spirit in the participants by encouraging them to always focus on people and team building to excel in their chosen fields. The proceeds from the event will be donated to aid the well-being of communities in need throughout rural Sri Lanka. Over the last three years event proceeds were utilised to build a community centre in Nelliady, Jaffna. Proceeds were also used to donate computers and other educational equipment and materials to PalugahawanguwaMahaVidyalaya – a remote school in Padaviya, Sripura that needed to have its educational and training facilities upgraded. Last year, event proceeds were used to complete a project to provide children living in the dry zone of Sri Lanka, with access to clean water.
