The Achiever’s Forum 2012, a direct collaboration between the HRP and the special category winners of the HRM Awards 2012, will be held on 7 November 2012 at the Waters Edge Ballroom.
The HRM Awards, which pays tribute to innovative HR practices and processes in the corporate sector, was held amidst much fanfare and acclaim in July this year, with a record number of entrants competing for gold, silver or category awards in their respective sectors.
The HRM Awards 2012 is the fifth such event organised by the HRP as part of its continuing mission to bring HR to the forefront at a national level. The awards this year were also distinguished by public sector participation for the first time in Sri Lanka, which generated a significant amount of positive feedback nationwide.
The HRM Awards is today a landmark event highlighted on business calendars throughout Sri Lanka and an HRM Award is a prestigious accolade sought after by corporate organisations across the nation.
Gold award winners at the HRM Awards 2012 were Ceylon Tobacco, Fonterra Brands, Virtusa, Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, DIMO, the Brandix Group, Aviva NDB and Unichela.
Silver awards were won by HSBC Sri Lanka, Aitken Spence PLC, Hatton National Bank PLC, GlaxoSmithKline Beecham, MAS Active, Amba Research, Coco-Cola, Bharti Airtel, NDB Bank, DHL Keells, SriLankan Airlines and Sri Lanka Telecom.
Special category awards were also presented to Ceylon Tobacco for talent supply, Fonterra Brands for capability growth, Standard Chartered Bank for performance management, HSBC Sri Lanka for leadership and key talent capability, Virtusa for employee relationship and people administration and Unilever Sri Lanka for rewards and recognition.
Inspired by the resounding success of the recently held HRM Awards 2012, the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) has taken yet another initiative to improve the quality of human resource management in Sri Lanka by organising an ‘Achiever’s Forum’ for the benefit of participants and the corporate sector at large.
Focusing on sharing the experiences and corporate best practices of HRM Award winners, the Achiever’s Forum 2012 will be a platform on which ‘the thinking behind winning strategies and their efficient execution’ will be shared with HR professionals and business organisations throughout Sri Lanka.
Representatives from AON Hewitt, the content partner of the HRM Awards 2012, will be amongst the key speakers and presenters at the event. The special award winners of the HRM Awards 2012 – Ceylon Tobacco Company, Fonterra Brands Lanka, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Virtusa and Unilever, will also make presentations at the Achiever’s Forum on the respective areas in which they won awards.
The topics addressed will include HR best practice and excellence, talent supply, capability growth, performance management, leadership and key talent capability, employee relationships and people administration as well as rewards and recognition.
