The program was preceded by a panel discussion titled ‘Should corporates invest in leadership development?’ The eminent panel comprised of Seylan Bank PLC DGM HRD Wasantha Senanayake, NLP Practitioner Archana Law, Direct Solutions Director Ian Ramsden, CEO Coach Singapore Andy Ng, Leadership and Success Coach Riaz Hassen and was moderated by Daily FT Editor in Chief Nisthar Cassim. Archana Law conducts a session on Leading Change and Transformation Key points that emerged during the panel discussion included the need to nurture leadership cultures in organisations that foster high performance and sustainability. The fundamental requirement for early identification and grooming of executives for leadership positions was stressed as a significant move in today’s challenging business landscape to retain good talent in organisations. The panel further emphasised on the roles of shareholders and CEOs in planning and determining the quantum of investments on leadership development during the annual budgeting on the improvement of leadership effectiveness of those who drive business performance. CLA’s three day flagship leadership coaching program featured highly-acclaimed industry experts, thought leaders and innovators who shared real world experiences and case studies with cutting edge content. The immensely successful inaugural program recorded impressive attendance across diverse industry sectors, indicating the interest among Sri Lanka’s corporate sector to hone their strategic leadership skills and optimise on key strengths, ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional results. Driving the successful program were highly experienced industry experts including Leadership & Strategic Transformation Coach Riaz Hassen, Hatton National Bank Chief Operating Officer Dilshan Rodrigo, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Head of Decision Sciences Dr. Saman Yapa, Executive Coach Jayantha Fernando, NLP Practioner Archana Law and CEO Coach Singapore Andy Ng. Participants at the panel discussion and coaching sessions   Each panelist’s experience and industry know-how explored operational mechanisms, the dynamics of creating high performance teams and how to leverage existing strengths and hone new ones in highly volatile and ambiguous environments.
