SLID enlightens Matara entrepreneurs of ways of conducting business responsibly

The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) conducted a workshop themed ‘Conducting Business Responsibly’ at the auditorium of the Matara Chamber of Commerce last Saturday (11th).
Director and CEO of Overseas Reality Ceylon and Chairman of SLID Pravir Samarasinghe said that the institute has conducted similar provincial workshops in Gampaha, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Hambanthota, Trincomalee, Ratnapura and Kandy.
“We hope to enlighten entrepreneurs engaged in micro enterprise on ways they can imorove their business standings and be more professional. It is the Chambers of Commerce of the respective districts that invite the targeted entrepreneurs for the workshops and it is the first time that we have had more females than male participants,” he added. Indira Nanayakkara Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Law and Saman Rasaputhra Director of KPMG – Galle conducted lectures on the legal and financial aspects of setting up a Limited Liability Company.
