With the aim of educating and sparking discussion among the public, SLIIT, the leading degree awarding institute in IT, engineering and business is organising a free lecture on 9 July at the auditorium of the SLIIT Malabe Campus.
The public lecture will feature Prof. Saman Halgamuge, Associate Dean (International) for the Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne, who will address the question, ‘Can the best optimisation algorithm please stand up to solve the mystery of the lost aircraft MH 370?’ The second lecture will also address the topic, ‘Mobile phones and electronic devices at home: How much electromagnetic radiation do you get?’
A question not thought of by many, will be brought to light by Dr. Malaka Halgamuge, also, from the University of Melbourne.
