The Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), the pioneers of the training profession of the country has commenced training programs for Mercmarine Training, the training arm of the well known marine training institute of Mercantile Seamen Training Institute Ltd.
SLITAD came forward to fulfill the training needs of the Mercmarine and recently conducted its first training program for the trainers on presentation skills.
SLITAD, premier professional platform for trainers in the country was founded in 1998 by a group of HRD professionals led by late Achilles Joseph, former DIG and Director Higher Training Institute of the Sri Lanka Police.
Since 1998, SLITAD has been actively involved in carrying out its mission and now is evolved to a well-established organisation dedicated to uplift the professional standards of Human Resources Development with more than 200 members in Fellow, Member, Associate, Affiliate, Students and Institutional categories. SLITAD has made a significant contribution towards the HRD profession of the country by producing more than 200 full-fledged trainers by its Diploma course in Training and Development.
