The seventh National Conference and Symposium of Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development will be held on 9 and 10 June at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Committee Room B, with over 350 participants in attendance.
Themed ‘The Future of Leadership: Exponential Thinking, Leadership and Success for World Class Organisations’, the conference’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Dragos Bratasanu, who is an award-winning scientist and an international speaker on the social factors that invisibly drive success. He holds a Ph.D. Magna cum Laude in satellite-based intelligence, Germany.
Dr. Bratasanu is an official consultant for NASA’s Leadership, Human Factors and Social Risk Management Program, speaking on aerospace leadership worldwide. A member of Dr. Charles Pellerin’s global team of consultants (Charlie is a NASA legend who built Hubble Space Telescope), his versatility was proven over and again when he travelled alone to the North and the South Pole. He was a research scientist with the Romanian Space Agency and was involved in many projects with the European Space Agency and the European Union. Dr. Bratasanu has also authored the book ‘Engineering Success’ which describes how NASA builds leaders and teams.
His keynote address will be under the theme ‘How NASA Builds Teams: Social Risk Management for Building World-Class Leaders and Teams’. On the second day, his workshop will focus on ‘The Future of Leadership: Exponential thinking, leadership and success for world class organizations’, followed by a special evening session for CEOs and Chief Officers on, ‘The Future of Leadership: Exponential thinking, leadership and success for world class organisations aligned to Role of Strategic Management in building a world class Organisation’.
The conference is aimed to build awareness on the conceptual framework in the arena of Human Resource Management and Development whilst, surfacing vital issues on practical aspects for the benefit of the HR and HRD professionals.
