How to measure training effectiveness
The highlight of the key note speech was on how to measure the training effectiveness which lead to a discussion point at the CEO Forum. Dr. Nalin highlighted that KPIs on its own will not help organisations to measure the effectiveness of training. It has to be a combination of the learner’s reactions, behaviours and results in terms of the job performance improved as a result of the training. With regard to training, he further spoke of participant reaction to check if they liked it followed by learning (did they learn the materials and content? Are they using the skill or behaviours on the job?)
“The most important measure of any training administered,” said Dr. Nalin, “is the assessment of the result, i.e., did the job performance improve as a result of training?”
